As a result of my outreach for his book Total Body Lift, Dr. Dennis Hurwitz and several of his patients appeared on the TODAY Show  in 2006 to demonstrate his remarkable plastic surgery procedure for people who've undergone gastric bypass surgery.

As a result of my outreach, mobile startup 'fring' was featured as the lead story on CNBC's 'Street Signs' - when they launched video chat for Android on the same day the iPhone 4 (and its 'facetime' feature) was announced.  CEO Avi Shechter's pre-interview *conducted using fring* was part of the segment.

As a result of my outreach, New York Magazine's Jada Yuan covered IFP's 17th annual Gotham Awards for New York Magazine's "Party Lines" section. As a bonus, she shot a super fun video for nymag.com, too - interviews w/ Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jason Reitman, Ellen Page, Emile Hirsch, Kyra Sedgwick, and more.

Back in 2005-2006 when I was exploring a career in on camera news talent, I wrote, reported and co-edited this piece about a charity for which I regularly volunteered. It could benefit from some editing, and I'm kind of stiff and speaking too quickly, but it was good enough to get me an in-person interview as weekend reporter for KBMT-TV (ABC) in Beaumont, TX.

This was the 2nd year in a row I appeared on the WPIX-TV in New York to talk about the upcoming NYC Marathon, which I was running in costume. I give tips about how to prepare and dress for the marathon, then give the forecast, then the host surprises me w/ an on air quiz.

This was a 16mm, b/w with sound short film I made as part of my "Sight, Sound & Film" class at NYU film school in spring 1993. It's a statement about my being gay. It's as explicit of a "coming out" statement as I was capable of at the time.

My friend Wayne was the subject of a novelty episode where the "Fab 5" made over a gay guy. I'm at his big "reveal" in a bar. Watch for my two big lines (ha!) at :31 ("You look amazing!") and 1:19 ("Are you gonna sing?"). I'm on camera a bunch of times the rest of the segment, too. Wearing a peach, short-sleeved, fitted shirt.

And I wasn't even an American Idol contestant ! This was at New Year's spiritual Retreat I was on. Randy Jackson would say I was definitely pitchy in parts - and he'd be right ! (I had major issues handling the buildup to the climax of each verse.) But it's still the best ever recorded performance I gave.
